Why we built Remark
The common link between our founding team is that we are geeky when it comes to gear. We obsess over the intricacies of what some might consider the mundane: Manual photo lenses, Japanese cutlery (read swords), surfboard designs... you name it.
Because among our friends we were the designated “experts” (emphasis on the quotation marks), we were constantly fielding questions about gear and product insight.
We think we’ve helped quite a few friends along the way. Yet the more questions we answered, the more we started to ask ourselves -- What do you do if you don’t have a friend to turn to? The creation of Remark is really the creation of an answer to that question.
A few years down the road, we’ve hired actual experts, partnered with countless brands, and helped way more shoppers than we ever thought possible.
